2022-2023 SCAD Senior Film

Bushitoad is the story of an alcoholic samurai toad who meets an orphaned tadpole. Though he's initially indifferent toward her, he grows to see her as his own. It's a story of growth through loss. Directed by Jovan "Jojo" Bailey.

I was both the producer of the film as well as a 2D animator on the hybrid crew which is made up of both 2D and 3D animators.

My first animation for Lily the tadpole done in the summer of 2022 testing the utility of the Toon Boom Harmony brushes I had made in Photoshop to mimic traditional ink brush. Background by Marley Smith.

As producer of a fully hybrid film, I have to make sure the 2D and 3D animators work together to have the characters look like they are walking on the same plane, interacting believably, and look cohesive. Our two main characters Toad and Lily are different mediums. Toad is 3D and Lily is 2D. Our enviornments are also a mixture of 2D and 3D.

BUZZ OFF!

2022 Short

BUZZ OFF! tells the story of a spider and fly becoming friends.

It's a hybrid film with 3D characters and enviornment but 2D expressions. As a 2D animator, I animated some of the fly and spider's expressions, but also helped in the visual development of the short and in texturing some 3D props.
